Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using our website or enrolling in our programmes. By accessing UpGreat (howgreat.sg), you agree to be bound by the terms below. These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the UpGreat website (howgreat.sg) or enrolling in any of our tuition programmes, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. These terms apply to parents, guardians, and students who access our platform. "You" refers to the parent or guardian completing registration on behalf of a student.
2. About Our Services
UpGreat provides online Chinese Language (CL) and Higher Chinese Language (HCL) tuition for Primary 3–6 students in Singapore, conducted live via Zoom. Classes are led by Ms Na 蓝老师, a former MOE Primary School teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience. Classes are conducted in small groups of up to 6 students to ensure quality and attention.
3. Registration and Enrolment
Enrolment is completed via our Google Form registration link. By submitting the form, you confirm that: • The information provided is accurate and complete • You are the parent or guardian of the student being enrolled • You have read and agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy UpGreat reserves the right to decline or cancel any registration at its discretion.
4. Fees and Payment
Class fees are communicated upon registration and are subject to change with reasonable notice. Fees are payable in advance for each term or month as agreed. • Fees are non-refundable except where a class is cancelled by UpGreat • Where a student is absent, no refund or make-up class is guaranteed unless otherwise stated • UpGreat reserves the right to suspend access to classes if fees remain outstanding
5. Class Conduct and Attendance
Students are expected to: • Join classes on time via the Zoom link provided • Behave respectfully toward the teacher and other students • Complete assigned work and come prepared for each lesson UpGreat reserves the right to remove a student from class without refund if their conduct is deemed disruptive or harmful to others.
6. Cancellations and Rescheduling
If UpGreat cancels a class due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. illness, technical issues), we will notify you as soon as possible and arrange a replacement class or a credit. If you need to withdraw your child from the programme, please notify us at upgreat68@gmail.com. Fees already paid are non-refundable unless stated otherwise in your enrolment agreement.
7. Intellectual Property
All learning materials, worksheets, notes, videos, and resources provided by UpGreat are the intellectual property of UpGreat and Ms Na 蓝老师. These materials are for personal educational use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, or share our materials without prior written consent. Unauthorised sharing of Zoom links or class materials is strictly prohibited.
8. Zoom and Online Platform Use
Classes are conducted via Zoom. You are responsible for ensuring your child has a stable internet connection and a suitable device. • You agree not to record any live classes without prior written consent from UpGreat • UpGreat is not liable for disruptions caused by third-party platforms such as Zoom • Any recordings made by UpGreat for educational purposes will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy
9. Limitation of Liability
UpGreat provides educational services on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee specific academic results or examination outcomes. To the fullest extent permitted by Singapore law, UpGreat shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services, including but not limited to loss of data, technical failures, or disruption to classes.
10. Privacy
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms of Use by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy at howgreat.sg/privacy-policy.
11. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
